I moved to Cork city in 1993 where I did a two year full time course in Interior Design, I excelled in all subjects to do with the subject, Interior design in Ireland was realy only becoming fashionable. and after I had finished this course I worked in a few part time jobs all connected with design. After working for the theater company for almost 2 years I was then approached by a large furniture store and ended up working for them for 10 years, in this company I was head of visual merchandising and later became the stores in-house interior designer. While in this furniture store I entered many window display competitions and won them, these were for film festivals and the Cork Guinness Jazz festival. Ireland at that time was reaping the rewards of an economic boom and property developers were building house's and large developments at a very fast rate, This was the area where I started to make my name, as I was asked to design the interiors of the Showhouse's which meant they were on show to a lot of people and also they were featured every other week on national magazines and property supplements of national newspapers. All this built up a very impressive clientele base for future work. Two years had passed and I felt I should go back to Ireland so I did. this time I decided to take the chance of going into business for myself, I was then approached by a television production company to take part in a program called "SHOWHOUSE" which I did and won, this gave me great national coverage and exposer. Now I take fewer projects but larger ones around the world, at the moment I am working on projects in south america, Cannes in the south of france, south of spain and Ireland where I am based.
