Zambezi Trader Ltd. is a wholesale import company that was conceived and founded by the husband and wife team of Michael & Elise, together we fully own and operate the business. We import fine, hand made & hand carved furniture constructed from exo tic African woods. We also import hand loomed wool rugs, raku ceramics, African game hide ottomans, limited edition art prints, and other unique home accessory items.
Over the years Michael lived, worked, and traveled extensively throughout southeast Asia, and western & southern Africa. Elise owned and operated retail shops that focused on home accessories & gifts for over eleven years. We brought together our wide ranging life experiences, tastes, and visions to create the company known as Zambezi Trader Ltd..
Some of our products incorporate hides and leathers from African game animals. None of the animals in our products are classified as endangered or threatened by the CITIES treaty, or the countries of origin. All animals used in our products are taken by certified, legal harvest methods from game ranches, or from government culling operations on national lands.
