Hellman-Chang was born from the passion for innovative and timeless design shared by lifelong friends Daniel Hellman and Eric Chang. They began as self-taught designers and craftsmen, building their pieces in a garage. Their “weekend warrior" practice turned into formal training under some of New York’s most celebrated furniture makers. A honed craft allowed the two to begin offering their products and designs to private clientele. After growing buzz within their community, the young duo founded Hellman-Chang. Within the short span of a year-and-a-half, Hellman-Chang was awarded an Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year Product Design Award, and since then has received acclaim and worldwide interest from interior designers, hotels, showrooms and consumers.
