McGuire is internationally known for creating high-end, designer furniture of rattan, woven peel, solid teak, bamboo, Oriental hardwoods, laced rawhide and aluminum. The company was founded in 1948 in San Francisco by John and Elinor McGuire with the notion that the natural strength and beauty of rattan coupled with classic designs could move this furniture from the sun porch to the living room.
