Description

England, c1725-35. A high quality chair, of early Cuban mahogany, the arched shaped crestrail over a well shaped spoon back with central back-scrolling paperscrolls, above a rounded seat with solid carved seatrail having a central drop, raised on front cabriole legs headed by carved shells and ending in pad feet; peg construction. Condition: Original finish; two knee returns replaced; wear appropriate to age and usage.
