Description

Exceptional George III neoclassical paint decorated server, "D" shaped with one central drawer flanked by two bowed cabinet doors flanking a central arched recess with supporting shelf, raised on square tapering legs, decorated overall in green, ochre and brown adamesque neoclassical design. Provenance: Stair and Company, New York; bears the handling label of the firm. England, circa 1795-1800.
