Cornucopia Damask
by Adelphi Paper Hangings
Product Type: Brand New / Custom-made
- Description
The rich, luxurious qualities of damask fabrics had often served as a source for wallpaper patterns. This particular damask pattern is typical of damask wallpaper patterns in the mid-19th century, during the Rococo revival. In contrast to 18th century wallpaper damasks, which relied heavily on oriental motifs, a classical cornucopia forms the basis of the design for this striking Adelphi pattern. Another defining characteristic of the time period evident in this pattern is its smaller scale. American circa 1835-1860.
