Regency dining chair with deep carved scrolls on back, in solid mahogany with ebonized mahogany details, on back, front and side rails, elegant shaped lion paw feet, also ebonized. An original set of 16 dining chairs c.1815, 14 of which are side chairs and 2 armchairs, are in the Collection of Mrs. and Mrs. Gordon Getty of San Francisco.
